I can't find Health Connect on my phone

How to find or install Health Connect on your Android device to synchronize your steps with instingo.

How do I access Health Connect?

The method to access Health Connect depends on the Android version running on your device:

  • On Android 14, Health Connect is part of the Android system. You can access Health Connect under Settings > Security and Privacy > Privacy and look for Health Connect.
  • On lower Android versions that support Health Connect, including Android 13, Health Connect is a publicly available app that you can download from the Google Play Store. You have the following options to access the app:
    • Go to Settings > Apps, search for "Health Connect" and open the app.
    • Configure quick access to Health Connect via Quick Settings in the notification area.
    • Open the Google Play Store page for Health Connect and tap Open.

If Health Connect still can't be found:

  1. Check your Android version:

    Health Connect is only available on Android 9 (API Level 28) and newer. Go to Settings > About phone to check your Android version.

  2. Check the system settings:

    Search for "Health Connect" in your device settings using the search field.

  3. Update your system:

    Make sure you have installed the latest system updates. Go to Settings > System > System update.

  4. Check the Play Store:

    Make sure the Google Play Store is up to date and search for "Health Connect by Android".

Important Note

Health Connect replaces Google Fit as the central platform for health data. Once you have installed Health Connect, you can connect it to instingo to automatically synchronize your steps.
