Which Fitness Trackers and Smartwatches can participate?

Can my device connect and synchronize with the instingo platform?

Instingo wants as many people as possible to be able to participate.

Instingo offers a wide range of connection options and we support most major fitness trackers including:

  1. Android smartphones (OS 5.0 or higher) - Google Fit App (Android)
  2. Apple Watch
  3. Fitbit - Zip, One, Flex, Flex 2, Charge, Charge HR, Charge 2, Charge 3, Charge 4, Charge 5, Luxe, Surge, Alta, Alta HR, Blaze, Versa, Versa Lite, Versa 2, Versa 3, Inspire, Inspire HR, Inspire 2, Ionic, Sense, MobileTracker App
  4. Garmin - vívofit, vívofit 2, vívofit 3, vívofit 4, vívosmart, vívosmart 4, vivosmart HR, vívoactive, vívoactive 3, vívoactive 4, Instinct, Venu, **
  5. iPhone 5s and higher (iOS 10 or higher) - Apple Health App
  6. Polar

Note: We are always striving to expand our list of supported devices. If you don't see your device in the list above, let us hear from you!

** instingo can normally connect with Garmin Forerunner and Fenix devices, however, we can only retrieve from devices that report steps. If your device does not report steps, it will not synchronize with instingo.

Samsung users:

Currently, we cannot establish a direct connection to Samsung Health. We are working on obtaining a license to access Samsung Health data. We hope to get this in the near future.

Summary:

Set up Samsung Health to sync with Google Fit:

  1. On the instingo platform (when asked which app you want to synchronize your steps with), select: Google Fit.
  2. Download the Google Fit app from the Google Play Store on your Android smartphone (if you haven't done so already).
  3. Then download the "Health Sync App" (Samsung Health).
  4. Start the Health Sync app and select the appropriate Google account
  5. Now decide the direction in which to synchronize. Here, from Samsung Health to Google Fit
  6. In the settings, you can enter how often to synchronize

We cannot guarantee that Health Sync will synchronize your Samsung Health data accurately and reliably with Google Fit. It is also important to note that the Health Sync app is not free. After a free one-week trial, Health Sync requires a one-time purchase of 0.50 - 2.99 euros (current prices may vary).
